French Wine Description

Domaine Pietri-Geraud, Banyuls Cuvee Mediterranee 2013 has brilliant mahogany color. Intense nose of very cooked fruits and prunes. Fleshy and hearty wine with intense notes of dried figs, prunes, blueberry liqueur. Aromas of roasting, of chocolate with a touch of cherries. Tannins present but fine. Long finish. Nicely paired with dark chocolate dessert, prune pie with figs, blue cheese, old goat cheese, seared foie gras or duck breast with fresh figs.
